About Us

All our practitioners are fully licensed by the state of New York and are Diplomates of the National Commission for Certification in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  They all hold Masters of Science degrees in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in NY.  Widely regarded as one of the top five acupuncture schools in the United States*, this rigorous four-year program requires a combination of 3,350 hours of clinical and classroom training in Eastern diagnosis and treatment plus 500 hours of Western medical training.  Individually they have each treated over 300 patients in various clinical settings.  Our practitioners are highly skilled, attentive and compassionate to your needs and concerns.

 

Joannie Wu ~ is also a board certified herbalist by the NCCAOM.  Her clinical rotations include externships at Saint Vincent’s Comprehensive Cancer Center, Saint Vincent’s HIV Center, and the Grand Meridian Clinic in Chinatown.  She also participated in community outreach events providing NADA protocol treatments at the Integrative Health Symposium and at Beth Israel Hospital.  She has treated numerous conditions including digestive issues, musculoskeletal conditions, women’s health, headaches, allergies, insomnia, etc.

 

Aileen Moy ~ During her career at PCOM, Aileen has interned at the Seniors Clinic and Pacific Beach Homeless Clinic while in San Diego and hopes to continue pursuing healthcare in a community setting.  She also has experience in 5-element Acupuncture and Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal (based on Mary Elizabeth Wakefield’s protocol).  Aileen also holds an Associate of Occupational Science (Massage Therapies) from PCOM and is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist.  Her styles of massage include Tuina, Swedish, Shiatsu, Thai and Reflexology.

 

dsc_8793Vickie Lee ~ During her four years at Pacific College, Vickie successfully treated numerous patients for a variety of ailments ranging from chronic sinusitis and female reproductive disorders to allergies and diabetes. She is trained in Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Renewal (based on Mary Elizabeth Wakefield’s protocol), and is working towards certification in cosmetic
acupuncture. At her externship with the VA Hospital in NYC, she gained intensive experience treating chronic musculoskeletal pain and emotional disorders in a western medical setting. Vickie holds a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University in New York City. She graduated magna cum laude with a double major in East Asian Studies and English Literature..
